Results of 'Comfort for Today' quilt raffle announced
BATAVIA –
The northern region’s Comfort for Today Quilt Raffle raised more than $560 for
the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation this summer.
“Altogether, we raised $561.59 for the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation! We also significantly raised community awareness of HomeCare & Hospice in the North,{ said Development Specialist Wendy Leffler.
The winners of the quilts were as follows:
The “Americana” quilt went to Terry Alwardt of East Bethany. The winning ticket for the “American Flag” afghan was purchased by Susanne Firth of Savannah. Barbara Jaszko of Oakfield was the winner of the vintage chenille quilt. The “Snowman” quilt went home with Sue Ramsey of Elba.
“A
special thank you to all of the RSVP volunteers who manned the booths at all of
the summer festivals! They did a marvelous job! We could not do what
we do without you! We are already beginning to gather quilts for next
year's quilt raffle,” said Leffler.
