BASIC PURPOSE & SCOPE:

 

Under supervision is responsible for, but not limited to, general administrative duties as a departmental support staff member.  May be assigned to provide administrative support to more than one department based on organizational need.

Base Wage/Salary (beginning range/rate): $16 – $18 per hour.

RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  1.     Data entry as assigned and related report preparation.
  2.     Completes required electronic information submission.
  3. Participates in team meetings and takes and prepares meeting minutes for review, as       assigned.
  4.     Completes record filing and copying to support departmental operations
  5. Ensures all clinical records are complete with all necessary documents including proper           authentication.
  6.     Maintains updated departmental records and distribution of letters, notices and related

                        information as assigned.

  1.     Arranges bulletin boards and keeps up-to-date with required materials and

                       announcements.

  1.     Schedules appointments.
  2.     Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of job duties.
  3.     Assists with mail sorting, posting, delivery and distribution.
  4.    Provides reception duties, inclusive of message taking, forwarding and call

management as directed. Carries out faxing and scanning duties to support the office and   care team.

  1. Completes supply inventory, ordering and stocking.
  2.      Gathers information as directed to assist with departmental functions.
  3.                  Process donations and cash receipts as directed.
  4. Alphabetize COVID sheets or parameters and time sheets.
  5. Assemble newsletters and materials and/or assist support staff with other tasks as may be                                           requested.
  6. Ensures accurate patient rosters as assigned. Carries out updates and distribution per policy
  7. Takes and documents referral information when received. Obtains needed referral information from referral source and or community physicians.
  8. Assists in tracking Hospice certification dates, physician orders, advanced directive updates and homecare supervisory visits.
  9.         Adheres to and reflects organizational values in daily work.
  10.      Serves on agency committees as may be assigned.
  11.  Maintains an obligation to report wrongdoing/violation of agency policy and applicable

         federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations pertaining to agency operations, to

         immediate supervisor or identified compliance officer.

  1.     Completes all mandatory in-service education programs and completes any other additional

                     in-service hours that are minimally required for the position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Associates degree in administrative science or equivalent program or high school diploma with  

        a prescribed program of administrative courses plus two years administrative experience.

  1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and demonstrated capabilities.
  2. Familiarity with industry standards of computer, fax, copier and multi-line phone system.
  3. Organizational skills.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Current driver’s license and use of automobile during working hours.
