Admission Information Specialist – 30 hours per week

BASIC PURPOSE & SCOPE:

Under the direction of the Director of Organizational Advancement, is responsible for, but not limited to, serving as a liaison with the professional medical community as related to building and growing awareness of services and identifying and achieving growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Implements a planned, regular visit schedule to physicians’ offices and other health care related facilities.
  2. Identifies health care professionals who would benefit from further knowledge about services and follows through by conducting the appropriate education.
  3. Devises and provides relevant education and marketing presentations for each specific group of referral sources.
  4. Collects necessary data to track referral patterns.
  5. Generates monthly reports to define efforts and outcomes by tracking the educational visits that were conducted and those visits successful resulting in referrals.
  6. Recommends new and/or revised materials for use in clinical marketing.
  7. Presents information and forums regarding the organization’s program model and philosophy to individuals, families, and groups.
  8. Provides information & acts as the resource for Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance programs and coverage of services.
  9. Adheres to and reflects organizational values in daily work
  10. Serves on committees as may be assigned.
  11. Maintains an obligation to report wrongdoing/violation of agency policies, applicable federal, state and local laws, and regulations, pertaining to agency operations, to immediate supervisor or identified compliance officer.
  12. Completes all mandatory inservice education programs and completes any other additional inservice hours that are minimally required for the position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. An Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution in human services, communications or similar field.
  2. Two years related work experience.
  3. Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Effective communication skills, including public speaking.
  5. Acceptable driver’s license and automobile available for use with current insurance.
