Hospice Walk 2016

On September 17th at 10 a.m., 97 walkers and 27 volunteers gathered at St. Bonaventure University to help raise funds for the HomeCare & Hospice Foundation at the agency’s 20th Annual Hospice Walk & Run!

Participants started arriving at 9 a.m. to register for the walk and put  tickets in for the basket raffle. Coffee and doughnuts were provided. Though the weather was temperamental and rainy, the sky cleared at 10 a.m. as the walkers gathered at the starting line where Olean Mayor Bill Aiello welcomed everyone and “officially” started the walk. After the walk was finished, participants were invited to eat pizza, popcorn and other snacks, take part in the basket raffle and “pick” their personalized flower from the memorial garden.

Food donors included Country Fair, Napoli Pizza, Premier Banquets & Catering, Rieds Food Barn, 7/11, Sparky’s Pizza & Subs, Tim Hortons and Total Senior Care.
