BASIC PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Under the direction of the Information & Communications Systems
Coordinator, is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting network
equipment and security systems, supporting and training users, and completing
other assigned department support functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs necessary maintenance, upgrade and installation to computer hardware, software, and network.
- Assists department with developing and maintaining network of hardware and software vendors.
- Assists department with supporting users on the network and all related help desk tasks.
- Assists department with recommending and installing new network and computer equipment.
- Assists with training staff regarding use of various computer applications.
- Assists with security measures and back-up systems to ensure continuity of data, software, and hardware protection.
- Provides troubleshooting for agency computer systems.
- Develops custom reports where applicable to support clinical and management activities and decision-making.
- Maintains clinical applications and functionality to support health information management and reporting needs, including providing assistance with installation of related hardware, systems, and application software.
- Works independently as needed, promoting personal and staff accountability with information system operations.
- Maintains an obligation to report wrongdoing/violation of agency policies, applicable federal, state and local laws, and regulations, pertaining to agency operations, to immediate supervisor or identified compliance officer.
- Completes all mandatory inservice education programs and completes any other additional inservice hours that are minimally required for the position.
- Serves on agency committees as may be assigned.
- Adheres to and reflects organizations values in daily work.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma, plus completion of a certificate program in a computer related field OR high school diploma and related training/experience of at least one year OR Associate’s Degree in computer related field (preferred).
- Additional 2 years related computer experience including familiarity with Microsoft office software; health care experience preferred.
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
- Acceptable driver’s license and automobile available for use with current insurance
- Availability by phone.
