Under the direction of the Information & Communications Systems Coordinator, is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting network equipment and security systems, supporting and training users, and completing other assigned department support functions.


  1. Performs necessary maintenance, upgrade and installation to computer hardware, software, and network.
  2. Assists department with developing and maintaining network of hardware and software vendors.
  3. Assists department with supporting users on the network and all related help desk tasks.
  4. Assists department with recommending and installing new network and computer equipment.
  5. Assists with training staff regarding use of various computer applications.
  6. Assists with security measures and  back-up systems  to ensure continuity of data, software, and hardware protection.
  7. Provides troubleshooting for agency computer systems.
  8. Develops custom reports where applicable to support clinical and management activities and decision-making.
  9. Maintains clinical applications and functionality to support health information management and reporting needs, including providing assistance with installation of related hardware, systems, and application software.
  10. Works independently as needed, promoting personal and staff accountability with information system operations.
  11. Maintains an obligation to report wrongdoing/violation of agency policies, applicable federal, state and local laws, and regulations, pertaining to agency operations, to immediate supervisor or identified compliance officer.
  12. Completes all mandatory inservice education programs and completes any other additional  inservice hours that are minimally required for the position.
  13. Serves on agency committees as may be assigned.
  14. Adheres to and reflects organizations values in daily work.

  1. High school diploma, plus completion of a certificate program in a computer related field OR high school diploma and related training/experience of at least one year OR Associate’s Degree in computer related field (preferred).
  2. Additional 2 years related computer experience including familiarity with Microsoft office software; health care experience preferred.
  3. Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
  4. Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  5. Acceptable driver’s license and automobile available for use with current insurance
  6. Availability by phone.
