OLEAN, N.Y. – HomeCare & Hospice held their 21st Annual Hospice Walk & Run on May 20th at St. Bonaventure University. Registration began at 9 a.m. and the walk stepped off at 10 a.m.
127 people registered to walk or run at the event. Participants were encouraged to create teams and raise pledges from family, friends and co-workers. Money raised from the event supports HomeCare & Hospice and helps the agency work at increasing awareness of available services and resources that the agency provides to the community.
CUTCO took home the Hospice High Scorers Cup, raising $1,365 in support of Hospice Care. The top individual earners were Jackie Falk and Bill O’Connell, who each raised $1,268 and $975 respectively.
Congratulations to the first place runner, Don Cooper, who finished at exactly 22 minutes!
Participants were welcome to stay after the walk to check out the vendors who attended the event, including Allegany Woodworking, the Alzheimer’s Association, American Diabetes Association, Ardent Solutions, Avon by Laurie McCarthy, Cattaraugus Community Action, Directions in Independent Living, Living Well Water, Omnitrition, Woodworking by James Finch, and Young living Essential Oils by the Charles Family.
