Do you have a compassionate heart? Do you have as little as two hours a month to offer? If so, you could be a HomeCare & Hospice volunteer.

We offer volunteer opportunities in direct patient care, office work and fundraising. Whatever your interests, as a HomeCare & Hospice volunteer you will experience rewarding and meaningful opportunities.

Patient care volunteers constitute the largest segment of our volunteer groups. Individuals in this category visit patients, perform limited personal care, provide relief for family members, help with house work and more. The exact duties of a patient volunteer depend greatly on the family’s needs.

A volunteer can be an invaluable asset...as a listener - a very special friend who can cry, laugh, reminisce and provide support to patients and their families. Often patients who are reluctant to share their feelings and concerns with family or Hospice staff will open up to a volunteer.

Office workers provide an invaluable service. Volunteers perform duties such as filing, mailing, copying and computer work.

The Guild serves as a fundraising arm for HomeCare & Hospice. Each year, Guild members raise thousands of dollars for Hospice services through their bouquet sale. Guild members also serve as volunteers for events such as the Tree of Life Ceremonies, the Hike for Hospice and the Home & Garden Show.
